Advantages

Shortcoming

Production and application of powder coatings require special equipment,the equipment for solvent-based and water-based paint can not be directly used.

Color switching in production or application is much more fussy and complex than solvent-based and water-based paint.

Not available in thin coating for powder coating, only suitable for thick coating.

Baking temperature for powder coating is higher, usually more than 180 C, in addition to UV-curable powder coatings, most powders can not apply to heat sensitive substrate,such as plastic, wood and paper.
